Construction at FLE
FLE will be closed during the construction until mid August. Mr. Newby & Ms. Fraley are re-located at Forest View Elementary during this time. We will be anxiously awaiting the new look coming to our school in the fall of 2017. Busy construction workers are in full force over the summer months. We are patiently awaiting the finished project.
New to the Community
We, at Forest Lake Elementary, welcome you to our community and hope it will be a great experience. If you have children that need to get enrolled, please call 651-982-8106, which is the Welcome Center for all schools within the Forest Lake Area School District to register your children.
Back to School Meet & Greet
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 16th between 5:00-6:00 PM to stop by and meet our staff and see classmates. With the upcoming completion of our building, at this time we are planning to have it outside between Forest Lake Elementary and Forest View Elementary. Keep an eye out for a class assignment letters that will be mailed out the week of August 7th.
Transportation for 2017-18
Bus cards will be sent out to all students the week of August 14th. If your children will be getting picked up or dropped off at a different address other than your home, a Change of Transportation Form will need to be completed and turned into the FVE school office for approval by Mr. Newby. If you need one sent please contact Sue at 651-982-3200. These forms need to be received by August 10th for your child to be assigned a bus for the start of school. If you have moved over the summer, please contact the office to update this information.
Strengthening a Positive Climate for Learning
New District-Wide Bullying Prevention form Available
In a continuing effort to prevent bullying and quickly deal with any bullying that occurs, Forest Lake Area Schools has launched a new district-wide procedure for identifying and reporting bullying behavior. If you believe that your child, or a student you know is being bullied, please fill out this Bullying Reporting Form. The form can be filled out online, but must be printed and signed before it is turned in at any school office in the district. Paper copies of the form are also available at each school building and Community Education office.
