    halloween HALLOWEEN AT SCANDIA

Each classroom teacher at Scandia will be talking with their students about their specific activities surrounding Halloween on October 31. Generally, the classrooms will have a "party" time but the majority of the day will continue with normal academic activities including PE and recess. Costumes can we worn at school, however there is no requirement to wear a costume. Parameters for all costumes include:
    • No masks
    • No props (they tend to become lost or misplaced)
    • No pretend weapons including Star Wars light sabers
    • No blood on costumes or face make up
    • No scary costumes as we have young children who can easily be frightened

We ask that if your child does want to bring a costume to school that it be very easy to put on without adult assistance. If there is any face make up students should put that on before coming to school.
We would like our daytime Halloween activities to be structured so our students can still participate in a day of school. We also want everyone to have a safe Halloween evening as well.
Thank you for your support and if you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or the main office.
