  • Board approves strategic plan

    In January, the Forest Lake Area School Board approved a strategic plan that will guide the district's activities from now through 2025. This plan was developed with significant community input to ensure the district's priorities align with our community's priorities to provide a quality education for our students.

  • Proposal for new athletic fields

    On January 9, school board members began consideration of an exciting new proposal for upgraded turf athletic fields and a new track at Forest Lake Area High School. Facility funding sources that were previously unavailable to our district have made it possible to undertake the project without using general education funding or resulting in any tax impact.

  • Community Learning Series

    Everyone Belongs is an initiative of the Forest Lake Area School District, the YMCA Equity Innovation Center and area cities and townships. The project launched with a series of learning events this fall and will continue in 2020 with five additional learning opportunities. Save these dates for the upcoming events: Feb. 22, March 17, April 7, April 21 and May 12.

  • Kindergarten Roundup is coming

    We're ready to welcome the class of 2033! Several events are planned around the district for our incoming kindergarten students and their families. Kindergarten registration materials are already available. Register now!

  • Scandia Principal Honored

    The Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association (MESPA) recognized Julie Greiman, principal of Scandia Elementary IB World School, with the 2019 MESPA Division Leadership Achievement Award for MESPA’s East Suburban Division.

  • FFA members take 2nd place in state competition

    Forest Lake Area High School FFA members earned a 2nd Place ranking at the Minnesota FFA Food Science Career Development Event (CDE).

  • Elite Readers

    Scandia Elementary 3rd graders have read their way to second place out of more than 200 Minnesota schools in the Read to the Final Four competition. Read to the Final Four is sponsored by MyOn, a provider of digital reading materials for schools.
