  • Four candidates running for school board

    Four local residents have officially filed as candidates for the school board of Forest Lake Area Schools. These four people will vie for three available seats in the Nov. 6 election. The candidates are Jeremiah Boe, Alex Keto, Kate Luthner and Jill Olson.

    In preparation for the November 6th levy referendum, Superintendent Steve Massey is hosting a series of six community conversation events in locations around the district. Budget information will be available and residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and gather information to make an informed choice at the polls this fall.

    Grant check presentation from Polaris Industries High School receives $79,500 Polaris grant
    Forest Lake Area Schools is pleased to announce a $79,500 grant from Polaris Industries. The funds will allow the creation of a state-of-the-art Polaris Design and Engineering Lab at the high school. The high-tech facility will allow students to learn and practice engineering and design skills that are in high demand in today's workforce.

    High School Ag Department receives awardFFA student holding goat
    The students of Forest Lake Area High School are discovering agriculture careers in a whole new way, thanks to a passionate faculty and innovative new facilities at the school. The high school’s agriculture department was recently honored as the 2018 Outstanding Middle School/High School Program by the Minnesota Association of Agricultural Educators.
