2019 Strategic Planning Process
Forest Lake Area Schools is in the initial stages of developing an updated strategic plan. The plan will help guide the district’s priorities and decision making over the next 3-5 years. The school board is working with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assistance with the planning.
The school board is seeking input from school district residents and staff to help identify strengths and areas for improvement. Residents and staff can provide feedback by completing a survey, or attending a community forum. The information gathered will be analyzed by the MSBA and used to help identify school district strategic priorities.
All residents and staff can find the survey online, or they can pick up a paper copy of the survey at the Forest Lake Area Schools District Office at 6100 N. 210th St. in Forest Lake, or at any district school building. Surveys should be completed and submitted by October 11.
Two community forums are also scheduled to allow residents the opportunity to give feedback in person. Those forums are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Forest Lake American Legion
- Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the Forest Lake Area High School Media Center
If you have any questions about the survey or strategic planning process, please contact the Forest Lake Area Schools Superintendent’s office at 651-982-8104.
