School Board - Superintendent Search Process
Superintendent Linda Madsen has announced her retirement effective at the end of this school year. The Forest Lake Area School Board has undertaken the process of finding a new superintendent.That process has begun, and the school board has selected the Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA) to undertake the search process. That decision took place at the board's Jan. 19 special meeting.

Superintendent Search ProcessOn Tuesday, April 11, 2017, the School Board selected three finalists to return for a second interview for the school district’s superintendent position. The finalists are:
The School Board has scheduled interviews for the finalists beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in the Board Room in the District Office, Forest Lake.
- John-Paul Jacobson, Principal, Century Junior High School, Forest Lake Area Schools
- Steven Massey, Principal, Forest Lake Area Senior High School
- Gregory Winter, Director of Teaching & Learning, Cambridge-Isanti Schools
