    Women’s Scholarship Guidelines

    P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization
    Women Helping Women Reach for The Stars
    Eligibility: This scholarship is open to graduating female seniors going to
    a four-year degree school and from one of six school districts represented
    by a Chapter FL member. Scholarships will be awarded through an open
    and fair selection process that does not discriminate based on race,
    religion, national origin, marital status, disability or age. The recipient
    will be awarded at their school’s annual spring awards ceremony. The
    award will be presented by a member of the Minnesota P.E.O. Chapter FL.
    Selection Criteria: The selection process will be based on a written
    application which calls for academic achievement, community service,
    education plans and goals, and involvement in school activities. Also,
    attach a one-page essay regarding why you selected this school, field of
    study, and what you see yourself doing in ten years. All material must be
    returned to your High School Scholarship Advisor by April 15th.

     

    The selection will be made by the Minnesota P.E.O. Chapter FL Local
    Scholarship Committee. Award: The scholarship in the amount of $500.00 will be awarded after proof of successful completion of the student’s first term/semester at their post-secondary school as well as proof of spring semester class schedule.
    Scholarships must be claimed by June 30th of the following year.

    Who Is Eligible?
    Current high school seniors from Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin who attend college in fall 2022. They may attend any eligible U.S. college either virtually or physically.
    About the Scholarship
    The scholarship drawing has no requirements for minimum GPA or class rank, financial need, intended major or purchase. Students are selected for the scholarship by a random drawing. Students and parents can easily register online.
