We are excited to share our news from the ALC with you -- the ALC is now called Forest Lake Area Community School.
We have been working on rebranding the ALC to reflect our CORE Values which includes a new name for program. The process that was used to rebrand the ALC consisted of meetings, surveys and outreach within the community. The committee included staff members, students, community members, administrators and representation from the FLA School Board.
A total of 1336 students are supported within the Forest Lake community with alternative options including social emotional and academic programming. Our program options are as follows
The Forest Lake Area Community School (Alternative HS for 9-12)
Credit Recovery (9-12 throughout the school year/summer)
The CORE Program (Alternative for 7th and 8th Graders)
Middle School Club (Social/Emotional/Academic 7th and 8th)
WIN CLUB (Social/Emotional/Academic 1st - 6th) Summer Programming for K-12 Students
We as a community will create and maintain a positive inclusive learning environment which fosters the skills to thrive through social emotional development and college and career readiness. We as a Staff have developed our CORE Values, Environmental Aspirations, Strategic Outcomes and required shifts to become who we are which aligns with our beliefs as a team.
We believe in equity.
We believe that all students can and will be successful.
We believe in building positive relationships with our students and each other.
