Homeschool
The decision to homeschool your child is a personal decision made by families and parents and the district will support that decision according to the guidelines set forth by the Minnesota Department of Education. The Forest Lake School District has a homeschool liaison within the special services department that is prepared to answer your questions and help you fill out the necessary paperwork. The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) requires the district to annually report the status of homeschool students living in our district. It is very helpful to note on the paperwork what grade level you consider your child to be in. Please adhere to the deadlines noted on each form and deliver all your homeschool forms to the Homeschool department at the Forest Lake School District office. Please see the links below to the MDE website regarding homeschool and the necessary forms that need to be completed and submitted to the Forest Lake district office no later than October 1, 2024. These forms can either be scanned (preferred method), faxed, or mailed to the contact below.
